How to find the version of an installer USB drive?

Hello, I was wondering if there's a way to find out what version has been prepared for OS X installation in a USB flash drive? Sometimes I forget which version I have put into it (10.11.?). I tried checking the Info.plist file in Contents subfolder of the app ("Install OS X El Capitan.app") but could not find the relevant info. Thank you in advance.
