I tried everything to make this work:

1. I tried disabling my antivirus before installing

2. I tried installing it as administrator

3. I tried uninstalling all apple.inc relevant apps, restarting my pc and then installing again

4. I tried updating my Windows

I had iTunes installed before on my Pc with Windows 10, but two days ago I restored my pc and now I cant install it.

Please I need help 😟

Thank you, turingtest2!

This fixed my issue. I was in contact with Microsoft support which took control over my PC to help me with the issue. And all they did was to try and re-install Windows 10, even though I did a clean install of Windows 10 the day before.

I quickly ended their control of the PC as they just ran around like a headless chicken. If they wanted me to install Windows a new, they could have just told me in the chat.

Thanks again!

Have you looked up the error message in the internet. I don't understand why apple does not offer a solution for this. I had to work for three (3) days to get mine fixed. Good luck to you. I downloaded a program call Wondershare TunesGo and that helped sync my stuff until I was able to get itunes to work

Thank you so much!!!! 😉 this was driving me crazy I tried everything until I found this discussion, but I was unsure which one to pick out of three options but the replies helped me figure out which one I needed not the error message!

if you get ProcessorArchitecture="amd64" this means that the correct file to download is the third one from your list, the one called vcredist_x64.EXE.

Thanks 🙂 again!!

Ok, I am not an IT person. Just a regular person. There's NO WAY I can do ANY of this!!!

I have the same problem: Windows crashed on my PC, I reinstalled, trying to reinstall iTunes but now iTunes keeps giving me the same error message over, and over, and over, and over... you get the picture. I don't know what any of those things you mentioned are, I don't know how they work or what to do with them!

Isn't there a SIMPLER way to get around this?

What anti-virus software do you have installed?

Have you tried this bit yet?

When reinstalling iTunes right-click on the installer and click run as administrator.

Often that will be enough. If not you can work though the original answer I gave, assuming you are indeed getting a VC80.CRT error. You can do it. Follow links, download the software, run it, download a fresh copy of iTunes, right-click on that, and install. If that hasn't fixed it then work methodically through the deep clean and reinstall steps that I've given in that second link. The individual steps really aren't that difficult. You can do it.

Hello DiegoCrod

As seem your problem that is unless the Adobe third party to run your Itune. You know that on each system we much be have one third party software to run one hardware private some time we download it. The itune you are trying to download it is Software private from Apple also. Its not already have in the PC system. And when we want to have must be have one agreement of the third party more. Now you download the Adobe acrobat first please. And then Itunes later. But remember that you must be choice the Itune for Mac or PC ITUNES 64bit installing programs file keep the third party all you have together in one folder . Chose run it then we make a desktop app and use it. Should download one Googledrive or Dropbox apps will be good better for your PC hardware System

Goodluck

The message "An error occurred during installation of assembly 'Microsoft.VC80.CRT, type="win32", version="8.0.50727.6195", publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b", processorArchitecture=..." may occur because a particular library file is not included in the distribution package supplied with iTunes or won't install for some unspecified reason. Installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package MFC Security Update before attempting to reinstall iTunes may help.

There are three files to choose from so you need to select the one that matches the processor architecture of your system, which should be noted in the error message.

  • vcredist_x86.EXE - 32-bit systems
  • vcredist_IA64.EXE - Itanium processors
  • vcredist_x64.EXE - other 64-bit systems

When reinstalling iTunes right-click on the installer and run as administrator.
