Unable to do conference calls on my iphone6. I am not able to join the two calls, even after pressing the merge key multiple times . IOS 9.3.5 and Airtel carrie

For iphone 6, I am unable to do conference calls on my phone. After calling to one person, when I tap on '+ ' and make another call, I am not able to join the two calls, even after pressing the merge key multiple times . IOS 9.3.5 and Airtel carrier.

Is anyone else facing the same problem?

Kindly help me get through this.

I am facing the same issue in my iphone 6s iOS 10.2 version update

Check with your carrier that your phone line is provisioned for that capability. At least over here, that entails an additional cost if you're not in a premium package.
