I need help with my new number on an iPhone 5s. I just got it and need to start using it today but when i put it in and write down my icloud account it wont let me because the carrier isn't supported under the device. Do i have to treat this as if i gave away my phone to another person or is there another solution?

Its seems like the iPhone is carrier locked.
Only the carrier the iPhone is locked to, can unlock the iPhone officially and if you qualify.
Did you buy second hand iPhone?
If not, are you using the same carrier?
No I bought it at the carrier's shop.
Im not using the same carrier as before but when i called them they said my phone wasn't blocked. Maybe they were wrong...
