Q: How do I keep my macbook pro closed with Logic?

I have a Macbook Pro retina 2015  and a Thunderbolt 27 display screen.

I use Logic Pro X

How can I keep the Macbook Pro closed on a stand?   without opening it to turn off and on every time I use it?

I have seen many people do this.

And will it cause any harm to Logic Pro?

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), OS X El Capitan (10.11.3), null

Yes, you can continue using your MBP as long as an external monitor, keyboard, mouse/trackpad are connected.  No problems at all.  Use it like normal.  Many of use do this daily.  LPX will be fine.  Just be sure to Save work before leaving it, before it goes into sleep mode.
