After I restarted when installing USB Overdrive, my cursor got stuck at the bottom. I can still move it horizontally, but not vertically.
I can't restart into OS X 10.4 to uninstall USB Overdrive, because I need the cursor for that.
And since they aren't seperate drives, just one, I can't go into the "option" menu to boot into OS X. It wouldn't help.

You should use Safe Mode to start up your Mac
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support
Third-party system extensions are disabled with in Safe Mode. Uninstall that driver, and restart in normal mode.
I cannot specifically help - but I am going to ask our Hosts to move this to OS X 10.4 Tiger forum - I think you are describing "Classic Mode" - a built-in 'emulator' of OS 9
No, i'm dual booting OS 9 and 10.4. I'm not using Classic.
I'm booted into OS 9.
I said "Restart into", which means
Startup Disk > OS X > Restart

I never had any reason to set up my Pismo with OS 9 on a separate drive or partition as Classic Mode handled any 'legacy' tasks I required
