Capturing with SONY VX2000

I just got FinalCutPro. I plugged my SONY VX2000 to the firewire plug. When I want to capture, I get a warning message: The audio sample rate of one or more of your captured media files does not match the sample rate of your source tape. But in the Preferences, General settings, I marked the Sync Audio capture to video source. Can someone tell me hwo to have the write seetings for using the SONY VX2000 to capture videos to FinallCutPro É

There are two settings for audio with the Sony VX2000, 32 kHz and 48 kHz. If you have the camera set on 32 kHz, there is no "Easy Set-up" in FCP with audio at 32kHz so you will always get that warning. What will happen is unless you turn off the audio beeping in the preferences, you will get the red line on audio and the annoying beep until it is rendered. You can turn off beeping as long as you remember to render the audio when your project is done.
If you have the camera audio set to 48 kHz and your project is also 48, you shouldn't get that warning because the capture matches the project. That being said, if you still get the warning, highlight the clip in the browser, go to edit-item properties, you might see that maybe the camera audio ended up being, say, 48.0005 for some inexplicable reason--hence, the warning. Same thing about turn off the beeping or after render should be OK. I have never had a problem editing with it like this.
Or you can go into an audio editor (I use Peak for other things, or Soundtrack Pro or maybe even QuickTime Pro) and render it out exactly to match your project settings and re-import, link to your video, and start editing.

I am going to try to capture HD1050p.60 video into my Final Cut Studio Pro Tomorrow morning. I have five tapes with an hour of video on each of them. I want to maintain my high resolution HD quality. This is the first time I have attempted to do this. I understand that I use the easy capture. I have read a lot of the posts I understand there may be a problem if the camera man did not leave gaps between the takes in that 4 seconds of the video is cut off. I asked him to shut down the camera between takes to save film but most of the takes were 10 minutes or more -- does that mean that I will lose the first 4 seconds of the video when I transfer? I also understand that I must import sound and video seperately. How will I ever be able to match up the sound with the video if they do not import together? The Camera that was used was a Sony HDVDVCAM 3ccd30fpm HDV1080i1DV. Can you please give me some advise as to how to do the import without losing the quality of my video. Also, do I need to set up the final cut pro for 16/9 frame width which is what my video is. Right now I have my studio pro on a 720 which is what the demo learning video was. I would appreciate any help you can give me. I have purchased a 250Gig Lacie to transfer my video to since I understand that if I put all of the video into Studio Pro it will be too massive to work with.
