Battle.net accounts

Hi:

My husband and I play World of Warcraft. For some reason, when I log into my account, the application works really well. But when he logs into his account, he cannot play World of Warcraft because Battle.net has a problem and stays on an update or crashes.

He ultimately was upset and deleted his account because now he believes he cannot play on the Mac because I am playing under my account and when he attempted for the second time, both accounts were having problems with Battle.net.

Blizzard told us this is an Apple issue that the company can resolve. I am asking what steps I must take in order to enjoy the game once again on the Mac?

As of today, I can still play World of Warcraft, but my husband cannot and once again, he completely deleted his account and Battle.net from the computer and re-installed it for me on my account.

Any help is well appreciated.

if you are both playing the same game then the patches for the game should be shared. Some of bliz's patches can be enormous and their servers bandwidth leaves much to be desired, also the frequency in which they patch can become frustrating especially when the game are unplayable until you download serval GB of data.

As well as having two BNet accounts do you share one account on the mac or do you have separate accounts as well?

If your husband has a second Mac OS account have him create a new account with administrative rights, boot into that account and try it.

If Blizz is insisting this is an Apple problem (I'm not convinced it is btw, I've dealt with Blizz on the mac side and the windows side and the Mac side tends to blame Apple for issues they have solved on the PC.) you need to rule out what you can on the Mac side.

see this article on router setup

and if possible connect the iMac to the router using a Cat5E or Cat6 cable for optimum network speed.

Any streaming service should be suspended either directly installed on your mac or some other device on your router.

Also any 3rd party software installed in conjunction with the OS, the security of the OS, the managing of assets, the managing of network need to come off if it's on.
