Why is the Game Center not saving my updated photo?

The Game Center will not save my new profile picture!

What I have tried:

1. Deleting the old picture from photos.

2. COMPLETLY logging out of the Game Center AND completely powering down the iPad.

3. Updating the picture first and then powering down the iPad while being logged into the

Game Center.

4. Minimizing the photo size.

5. Taking a picture with the iPad.

6. Backing up the iPad to cloud with the new profile picture.

7. Making sure that no updates were available.

8. Checking my WIFI connection.

9. Powering down the iPad without a WIFI connection.

I'm fresh out of ideas.

iPad 2, iOS 9.3.5

I see that Game Center will not save your new profile picture. It looks like you've done some great troubleshooting so far. I definitely want to help and make sure that you can change the profile picture in Game Center. I have a few things that I would like you to try.

First, please use the following article to force close the Game Center app on your iPhone, and then reopen and see if you can change the profile picture:

Then, I would recommend trying to change your profile picture using different photos to see if this is isolated to one specific photo.

And finally, please use the following articles to perform a new backup your iPhone's important data to iCloud or iTunes , and update the iOS software (a new iOS version was just released):
