Artist Photos Missing in iTunes 12.5.1

That's all well and good Remy, but all I'm telling you is that on the previous version of iTunes, I had Album Artwork AND Artist Artwork for literally every artist and album in my entire library (including items not purchased on iTunes such as Ripped CDs, Amazon MP3, etc...). And now, on iTunes 12.5, I don't. It's not working on iTunes on my MacBook Pro running Sierra or my iPhone 6.

Different or not, they used to work and populate and now they don't and Apple should fix this. I think Apple knows who Adele and Alice in Chains are so something else is going on here.

And Apple remains silent...

Apple has changed the way they automatically paste pictures for Artists in the Artist view (previously it was taken from the album covers) and it's now a complete mess... 😢

I will not upgrade to iOS 10 (which requires versions of iTunes with this bug) till it is fixed.

I have a PC as well as a Mac and have loaded iTunes 12.5.4 plus some sample music to see what's what.

In this case, the only artists that do not have images in iTunes are those that do not actually have artist images in the iTunes store.

2 examples I have are Pegi Young & the Survivors, and Ambrose and His Orchestra. They have plenty of music in the store, but no artist image to link to, if you look at their listings in the store.

Even odder, the artist images for some other artists (like Neil Young, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds) are not the artist images from the store that iTunes displays.

In my local Apple Store, not a single artist image is displayed on any machine running iTunes, but the iOS devices do.

I reckon someone has screwed this up and has no idea how to unscrew it, and Apple being Apple are too proud to just roll things back.

It's total rubbish all round really.

Still No Fix...Ive been patiently waiting through many updates for Apple to address this issue and nothing has been resolved as of yet. I cant imagine this is a big fix so why are they dragging their feet?

I hope they fix this soon. We should be able to add the artist image as we can for the album artwork.

I found a solution to Apple TV users. So basically my Artist were missing Artist Icons. The way I fixed it was a Factory Reset and Update Software. You will lose Apps...but will sync your music library. That's how it did work out for me

Are they kidding? This is the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I want to customize the photos!

If every one of us would call tech support with this issue, I think the message would come to developers much sooner.

The suggestion box does not work because I and a few of my friends suggested a few months ago and nothing happens.

At least I found a solution on my iPhone by installing 3rd party EQ.

For me its totally random, most of my music (nearly all) is ripped from CD some of these have an artist picture some not. It doesn't seem like rocket science - Apple slipping yet again...

Did apple fixed this?

So, Apple....like most "open-minded - closed minded" companies know what we want and will allow us to customize what THEY want. Very open-minded.

i too hope apple will fix this issue asap, very bloody annoying.
