No iOS 10 for iPad 3rd gen

I cant help but scratch my head as to why you can support the 4th gen but not the 3rd gen when they were only released 8 mos apart from each other (which was messed up to begin with) a huge majority of apps work flawlessly on the device. I get some of the features wont be useable but, for example, I would love to be able to remove those stock apps see then new music app etc. I know its an older device and if you had dropped both 3&4 I wouldn't have mentioned it. Just seemed like a last thumb to the people who bought that device thinking they would have at least the full year, which it promptly returned to after going from 3 to 4.
