mine was working fine until the update. It's frustrating because I can get to the music on my iPhone. Only iTunes is doing this. It's the update of iTunes that is causing this.
Which is why I am sure there's a small percentage of those experienced users who are very glad to let everybody posting on this site do all the bug testing for them. Then a few days later, or maybe after the next bug-fix release in a week or two they will upgrade. Or maybe not, if they find everybody complaining some key feature was removed in the new version of iTunes.

Sep 13, 2016 12:22 PM in response to Oscar181by annabelle,After updating both iTunes 12.5.1 and my iPad to iOS 10
iCloud is working just fine: I tried to match a song and it did it and fast
A timed coincidence? I didn't have to restart
I suggest to check it again

Sep 13, 2016 12:29 PM in response to sakanugaaby Zague,I have the same message — it pops up every minute — but iTunes 12.5.1 does connect to my content (which happens to be on a separate drive). I have not tried restarting yet.

Sep 13, 2016 12:32 PM in response to sakanugaaby iPhone236545,I am having the same problem on my MacBook and iMac. The MacBook I updated to the newest iTunes. My iMac has not been updated which leads me to believe this is a server issue and will start working soon.

Sep 13, 2016 12:49 PM in response to SDZiechby gwevans1,Same issue here, but I don't think it is the update. My iTunes was giving me the same error BEFORE I updated.

Sep 13, 2016 12:55 PM in response to sakanugaaby Gatovich,Same here. Although I have to admit: I felt a relief that I'm not the only one with this problem.
Hope they can work it out soon.

Sep 13, 2016 12:57 PM in response to sakanugaaby collinlove,I'm having this issue too ever since I updated to OS X 10.11.6. I think it also updated iTunes to 12.5.1 which is the real cause of the issue. Don't think this has anything to do with iOS 10

Sep 13, 2016 12:59 PM in response to sakanugaaby dorrie6,I was having this issue earlier, and then it went away for awhile (I restarted computer and signed in and out of iTunes). Now it is back. I should have downloaded the music I use for work (all items I own, not Apple Music tracks) while I had the chance.

I was getting the "Unable to connect to iCloud music library" error before I updated iTunes to 12.5.1.21 (just now). Still getting the error now… continually. Airplay working fine. Looks to me like it’s on Apple’s end?
