IOS 10 PROBLEM

Hello, I just downloaded the ios 10 just as it came out over an hour ago (right before 10 am pt) and after it was finished updating and installing a picture of the itunes logo and an arrow and the chargers end pointing towards that itunes logo showed up. Does that mean the update wiped out everything I have on my iphone 6s plus? If so, is the ios 10 update suppose to do that unlike the other updates?

Right now does that mean I have to restore everything through itunes? or downgrade?

Thanks in advance and help is appreciated.

You will need to restore. The device appears to be in Recovery Mode. There have been several reports that the OTA updates are failing, and it is necessary to restore via iTunes.

I have same problem with the Itunes Logo. But I cant even connect to Itunes when I connect my Iphone to the computer, It`s like my Itunes dosen`t find my device.

Update itunes on your computer first, then plug the phone in and press update there, it will go to ios 10.0.1. You didn't lose anything. It will warn you about restoring vs. updating, just have it update. But you have to update itunes first or it won't work.

and once I do that nothing will happen to my data and everything on the phone before that update

I went through the iTunes process and restore my phone to the last build. The update worked after that.

Yes, I just went through all of that with two iPhones and an iPad. If you update itunes first to the latest version, then plug the phone in and tell it to update it downloads 10.0.1 update and applies it.

Apple issued a statement about the OTA updates, and says to use iTunes, but now have issued another update stating that the OTA has been fixed. However, if your device went into Recovery Mode, then you will have to use iTunes. If you did a backup of the device before you did the update, you should not experience any issues.
