Q: IOS 10 PROBLEM

How old a version do you have. The latest version is iTunes 12.5.1. You should update it.

Apple have announced people who updated in the first hour of release over OTA has faced this problem.The solution Restore to iOS 9.3.5 .Then update it if possible from iTunes ,it is safer choice right now due to very high demand of iOS 10

It means the device had problems updating and is now in a recovery mode unfortunately as you suggested.

But how can I update, I can`t find the update bar at Itunes anywhere? Can you decribe where I can find it.

Sorry about that. You have to restore your iPhone from iTunes (hope you did it before you updated) then install the 2.31 Gb full update within iTunes and let it proceed.

If iTunes cannot find your device, if you are one a mac hold down option and click the mac icon. Then go to system information. You can then select the USB tab and see if the iPhone is appearing when you plug it into the computer. ( I got these directions from Apples website)

Did you make a backup?

If you are on Mac, go to the app store and look for updates there, if you are on windows look for the apple automatic updater on your computer.

If this means yes, then I would suggest you have not lost anything.

After the update is complete, restore from that backup.
