Why can I not download iTunes ot QuickTime on windows 10

When updating from windows 8,7 or older there were compatability issues with the newest windows. It is possible to download Itunes from: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and it will still work with windows 10.

Note (as stated in the above): QuickTime for Windows is no longer supported by Apple - It should be removed unless you actively require it for video playback
iOS 10 and iTunes 12.5.1 just dropped, so there will be plenty of people trying to download from Apple's servers. I had to click the download button once on the main page, again on the thank you page to go back and once more before the download actually started. There are direct links here if you want to avoid that.
