If I buy an iWatch, will I be able to see my pulse rate without pushing a button per observation?
If I buy an iWatch, would I be able to see my pulse without pressing a button per each observation?

Yes, every 10 minutes your pulse will be automaticly checked. This wil be stored in the health app on your Iphone.
Hi
Yes - Apple Watch measures your heart rate automatically throughout the day, when you are still, and also continuously when recording workouts via the built-in Workout app.
Readings are shared to the Health app on the paired iPhone, where you can review the data.

To clarify: I'm afraid that this is incorrect.
When you are still, readings are taken more regularly than this - such as 2 minutes apart, for example.
Since Apple Watch only takes background readings when you are still, the time between such measurements will vary.
See the articles linked in my previous reply for further information.
Thank you very much, Jonathan. Your answer is helpful. I had previously bought a FitBit, then found that while I am exercising I must free up my right hand to press a button in order to check on my pulse rate, and don't want the same to happen if I spend a fair amount on the watch.
Thanks, Ruudberkvens, for so quickly responding. I am encouraged to buy the Watch.
