I cannot connect my bluetooth earphones on macOS / Macbook Pro Retina

Hello,

I cannot connect my bluetooth earphones ( Bose SoundSport Earphones ) on macOS / Macbook Pro Retina. When I look for them on the bluetooth search list, I can find and pair and even though it says its connected, It does not show up on the sound output source list. Can someone please help me set it up?
