My Iphone 5S screen goes dark and stops responding? Does anyone have a fix?

My Iphone 5S screen slowing gets lines across it and goes dark. You cannot launch any APPS without turning the screen off and restarting

Does anyone have an idea on how to correct this?

If you see a solid color screen (black, white, or blue)

Plug in your device to a power source. If you see the low-battery screen when you plug in, let your device charge for at least 10 minutes (20 minutes for iPad) before using it.

Force restart your device while it's plugged in.

If this doesn't work, restore your device.

If you still see the issue after you restore, contact Apple Support.

If you see lines, missing sections, discoloration, or poor image quality

Try to restart your device. If you can't restart, force restart your device.
