iOS 10 upgrade issues

I upgraded to iOS 10 and I am having several issues: Touch screen seems to lag, lost calls (phone rings but screen remains off), phone gets very hot and seems sluggish (all apps are closed) and lastly- battery life is horrible with just a few hours of use. Did I make a mistake by upgrading? For now, I am telling all my friends to wait! DO NOT upgrade.

My equipment: iPhone 6 Plus (lots of free space)
