iPad Air 2 says No Sim

My iPad Air 2 (64GB) suddenly says "No Sim". It said this prior to the latest Apple update, (10.0.1) as well as after.
It shows no carrier update available.

I'm lost, anyone know how to fix this? It is through Verizon.

Carrier: Verizon 25.0

Cellular Data Number "Unknown" - although it shows up in my verizon account online.

Greetings, Kajika.
Thanks for being an Apple Support Communities member. It looks like you've been having problems with your SIM card being recognized by your iPad Air 2 before and after upgrading to iOS 10. I'll be glad to help.
If you get an alert about the SIM card in your iPhone -- I know this article speaks specifically to an iPhone, but the steps here should work for your iPad Air 2 as well.

Cheers!
