iTunes 12.5.1 Artist View Massive?

since the update the Album cover size and text got massive in artist view, is there a way to reduce this back to its small original size?

It looks like for Artist view, the album art size is based on how wide your window is. As you shrink the window the art shrinks too.

The only view with album art size settings is Songs view.

Personally I don't mind large album art, but I can see where it would be annoying if an album only had a few songs, or if there were a lot of single tracks there would be a lot of scrolling. They should really let us change album art size in any view.

I don't understand, did XxRagnarockxX ask what you prefer? Did XxRagnarockxX ask a question that one needs to chime in if one doesn't have an answer? I apologize for posting off topic but not for lashing out at poikkeus1, as I can't stand when people chime in with useless unsolicited crap responses that waist my time reading. Again, my apologize for going off topic and wasting your time. #grindsmygears

I filed a complaint about it at http://www.apple.com/feedback/ .

I maintain massive music library so seeing a lot of it at once makes navigating through it much faster.

On my 1440p screen new Artist View in 12.5 BARELY fits 3 albums. With 12.4 I was able to see almost 6 albums at once of any given artist. This is pretty much 2x less content. Regressions in ergonomics and usability count as massive issues. I ended up downgrading to 12.4 because I honestly can't take this BS. Broken Artist Art is yet another issue.

See screenshots I took to compare Artist View in 12.4 and 12.5:

OT: I'm getting sick and tired of Apple's recent UI decisions, size of notifications in iOS10 vs 9 could serve as yet another example.

I may have found the solution. If you put your cursor along the division area between columns, you can resize the columns, thus resizing the album art and the appearance of the way the album information text is displayed. I have two screen shots to illustrate. You can see my Column Resize Cursor and the column size difference, which gives you some flexibility with your album size. Hope this helps.

Well, they real issue here is significant decrease in the amount of content visible at once. I appreciate the suggestion but unfortunately it still doesn't solve the underlaying issue. In fact it makes it worse since according to your screenshot only one album is visible whereas previously you had two.

Yep, same problem here. Large library, cover preview is not displaying on the left column and the size of the cover on the right is big and I was not able to find the command to resize it. Browsing the help menu is not helping and here i am not finding solution to this visualization/usability problem. Please Apple restore this function and make again possible to see the cover also on the left column!

I've done away with the microphones by simply going to Album View (Artists are arranged alphabetically), but I do have a slider that enables me to enlarge album artwork to about 14" x 14". You have to click the artwork icon at the top with the Command button while the song is playing.
