Message Effects Not Working, Getting Text Descriptions Instead - iOS 10 - iPhone 6
I just upgraded to iOS 10 and none of the new effects are working in iMessage. All of the effects are preloaded onto my phone, and I can send them perfectly fine. I even see the animations when they're sent. But when I receive any effects (whether it be a text effect or one of the full screen effects,) none of them show up for me. Instead, I get text descriptions of them: (sent with balloons), (sent with gentle effect), (sent with loud effect), (sent with laser effect), etc.
Yeah. She has them preloaded on her phone, and they show up when she hits send. But if I send her any, they just say various things like (sent with balloons), (sent with gentle text), etc...instead of the actual effects being there, it gives like a text description of them instead if that makes sense
I checked for Reduce Motion but it's been turned off the entire time (she never had it turned on.) I tried turning it on and then off again but that's didn't seem to fix anything. I tried restarting too, but no such luck. Any one else have this issue? Any one find a fix yet?
