Please tell me your setting about photos.
Every option is turned on.
Plase use computer and log in iCloud after check your photos. If it has your photos, maybe iPhon has problem.
II'll check but to be clear I have the following albums:
all photos
people
places
vidoes
Bursts
screenshots
recently deleted
you have these plus photo stream?
Tha you for the info. Now my wife and daughter have iOS 9 and their photo stream show pictures taken on all three devices. My iOS 10 device does NOT have any pictures from either of their devices (In my "all photos" album"). Any ideas on what's going on???
P S. I checked my wife's phone and "iCloud library" was not turned on. I turned it on, took a picture, and it is NOT in my photo album - does it take more than 10 minutes to show up?
also - when it does work how does one ONLY look at iCloud photos??
thank you.
I assume you are all using the same Apple ID?
This would be the only way for you to see their Photo Stream. If they create a shared album, they can invite you to view and participate in it.
Photo Stream and Shared Albums are 2 different things.
Sshould I turn off iCloud Photo Library??
For troubleshooting, you can toggle it off and on.
Are you sharing an Apple ID?
Yes we are sharing an ID.
I know photo stream and shared albums are different. I'm asking about photo stream and iCloud Photo Library
I believe I have answered that question.
My Photo Stream FAQ - Apple Support
iCloud Photo Library - Apple Support
Photo Stream is limited to 30 days or 1000 photos.
iCloud Photo Library is limited only by your iCloud and device storage.
Thank you
ok - I turned off icloud photo library and I now have the photostream album. Now I have 2 other devices on my account - I can't figure how to view ALL photos from ALL devices. I logged into icloud from a PC but it only shows pictures from my device. I need to know how to do this as I was playing with settings on my wife's phone and after I turned off and on icloud photo library her photostream album is empty and I fear her wrath.
As LACAllen has stated, Photo Stream and iCloud Photo Library are mutually exclusive. You have one or the other - not both.
If you have iCloud Photo Library, all photo from all devices that are signed into the same iCloud account, and which have iCloud Photo Library turned on, will be visible. However, iCloud is not an archival service. It is strictly a syncing service, and the "source library" resides in iCloud. Any changes you make to a photo on any device or computer linked to that library will change the source library and will be visible everywhere. If you delete photos from anywhere, they will be deleted everywhere.
Photo Stream is a sync of all current photos in your Camera Roll. You can see all Camera Roll Photos in Photo Stream for any device that is signed into the same iCloud account with Photo Stream turned on that meet the criteria: Photo Stream keeps photos for 30 days or up to 1000 photos, whichever comes first.
So, like iCloud Photo Library, Photo Stream is not intended as an archival service. If you want your photos to be permanently saved, you must import the to a photo library on your computer, or upload them to a Cloud archival service like Dropbox.

If you had the library synced and then turned it off, it may be just a matter of waiting.
Depending on how large your library is, it could take hours to re-sync.
Bottom line is... if you have the library enabled on 3 devices using the same Apple ID, they will all sync up in time.
