Q: problem with downloading podcasts. error 3001

I couldn't complete my iTunes Store request to subscribe to a podcast as there was an "unknown error" in the iTunes Store, error code 3001.

Hello MacUserinNJ,

After reviewing your post, It sounds like you are getting an error in iTunes. I would recommend you read this article, it may be able to help troubleshoot the issue.
