Activation Lock

I have recently done a restore on my 14 year old sisters iphone that is now saying i have to use an activation lock password but she does not remember what her email or password was for any of her accounts.. How do i get rid of this to be able to enter her phone and her be able to use it again?

She will have to recover the AppleID she used to sign in to iCloud on that phone. Try the instructions at If you forgot your Apple ID password - Apple Support and see if she can recover it.


If she cannot, you can call Apple to get help, or take the phone and your original purchase receipt to any Apple Store and they can help you.


But the only way to get past activation lock is to recover that login AppleID and Password.

She'll need to recover the login credentials. You can disable activation lock on the device itself, or by removing it from her iCloud account in her list of tracked devices in a web browser login. But, either way, she needs the AppleID and password for the iCloud account to do that. There is no other fix or workaround as Activation Lock would be pointless if there was.
