Q: Two-page view not working correctly in iOS 10

I upgraded my iPad Air 2 to iOS 10 tonight, then went to continue reading a book I bought recently via iBooks.  The two-page view, when the iPad is in landscape mode, will not appear now - unless I make the font really small.  If I increase the font size while in landscape to something more readable, I only get a single page view.

I deleted and re-downloaded the book, but the behavior is the same.  I signed into iBooks on another iPad that's running ios 9.3.5, and the two-page view works correctly, with normal font sizes - sizes that will not let me view the same book in two-page mode on iOS 10.

Apple - help!  I really prefer reading with two-page landscape mode in iBooks.  I can't, however, seem to get this to work with anything but tiny fonts.

Has has anyone else noticed this?

iI agree. As noted below changing the font and reducing the size will split into two pages. I prefer to read in larger size font. Apple has removed this in iOS 10.

I tried the font changing trick and it doesn't work.  The only solution besides making the font smaller (which is not a great solution for people who don't want to get eye strain) is to switch to kindle.  I ended up buying my next book from Amazon because of this.  The dual page was a nice feature in iBook regardless of font.  Makes me feel like I'm reading a real book. Now it feels like I'm just reading a website or something.  Switch to the Kindle app.  That will enable you to go back to a more enjoyable book like experience of flipping through pages.

It's just really discouraging when Apple does something to hurt users seemingly out of spite, or "because they can." I can't imagine any benefit to users or Apple from eliminating the two page option with the same font size options as single page.

It would be helpful if Apple explained why they changed the availability of the two-page option.

AHhhhh this is too painful. Apple needs to either fix this or refund our iBooks purchases.
