iPhone 6s+ taking a few seconds to open

When my iPhone is completely locked & the screen is black, it takes a while for my iPhone home screen to open when I press either the home button or the side button. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Hi there, maaaaddy!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. From your post, I am understanding your iPhone 6s Plus does not seem to unlock as fast as you expect it to. I use my iPhone for nearly everything, so I know it's important that it unlocks and gets you where you need to be as quick as possible. I would be happy to offer some troubleshooting!

First, try a restart your iPhone following the instructions here: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the iPhone still doesn't unlock as fast as you expect after the restart, I would recommend backing up your iPhone and restoring it to factory settings. You can get help with backing up to iCloud or iTunes here: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
After the backup is complete, use the following article to restore your iPhone to factory settings in iTunes on a computer: Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Once the restore is finished, set your iPhone up as a new device (meaning without putting your backup onto it, at least temporarily). Test to see if unlocking still goes slow, or if it appears to be working the way it should. If it is, restore your backup following these instructions: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup

Cheers!
