Q: Export Contacts - Unique Problem
I think I have a unique iPhone contacts question compared to all the others I've read. I apologize in advance for my lack of understanding of the technical side of this problem, so if something doesn't make sense from how I am explaining it, let me know. Without going into ALL the details, I left a job a few months ago that I was at for a number of years. I didn't realize that my phone was loading all new contacts on the exchange server sync.
Without going into ALL the details, I left a job a few months ago that I was at for a number of years. I didn't realize that my phone was loading all new contacts on the exchange server sync. When I left the company they turned off my email and I thought I was fine. Then just out of curiosity I decided to compare the contacts I had on my phone and the ones I have synced on iCloud. (The phone is set up to sync to my iCloud) The difference was night and day. My phone probably has, let's say 2,000 contacts, emails, etc, while my iCloud account has maybe 200. I am syncing my iPad, and it only shows the 200. Same with my computer. For this reason, I haven't turned off the account on the phone in fear that it will delete all of the contacts.
Does this make sense? Are all of these contacts attached to my old company account and not syncing with iCloud?
Of course, the real question is how can I pull off these contacts? These are far more than work accounts, it's basically everyone I've met over the last few years.
Any help would be appreciated.
