Q: Song won't disappear from iTunes on my MacBook.
I Have a song that shows as being in my library on my MacBook but it isn't. I downloaded it some time ago & then deleted it. It disappeared from all my other devices but still shows in iTunes on my MacBook. When I try to delete it nothing happens, when I try to play it nothing happens. When I open the song info box it states that it's still stored in iCloud but it doesn't show up on any of my other iCloud library linked devices nor is the cloud icon available from me to redownload it.
I've tried restarting my MacBook & iTunes & also tried turning my iCloud library off & back on, even running a repair on my drive didn't solve the issue.
Anyone got any ideas on how to resolve this?

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems there is a song that is just listed in iTunes and does not react to playing or deleting.
One thing that may cause this is trouble with the iTunes library file. We can try to restore the file and see if the library updates and removes the song from the list since it is not downloaded.
If you don't see your entire library after you update iTunes on your Mac or PC - Apple Support
