Sep 13, 2016 8:27 PM in response to Keisha522by TheExpolsiveCow,Restart your mac, and hold ⌘R immediately. Hold until the Apple Logo appears. It may take a while for your mac to boot. Once it does, select Terminal from Utilities>Terminal at the top Menu Bar. Once teminal pops up, type
resetpassword
A password reset wizard will show up. Select the appropriate account, and enter the new password. Then press save. next, click the apple logo in the corner, and press choose startup disk. Click Macintosh HD and hit enter.
You should now be able to use your new admin password.
