how do I upgrade iphoto 8.1.2 to 9.4.3 while staying with OS X 10.9.5

I want to upgrade iPhoto (from 8.1.2 to 9.4.3) and stay with my OS X ver. 10.9.5

(I do not want El Capitan with iPhoto 9.6.1 or OS X 10.10.3 with Photos for Mac)

Can this be done? Where are the upgrades available?

iPad mini Wi-Fi, iOS 7.0.2

The only official updates will be available via the App Store. Through the App Store, the only option for iPhoto is to update to the latest variant, and if it requires OS X El Capitan, then you have to upgrade to receive it.
