iOS10 issues - Notes app crashing

Turning off the iCloud notes settings and reactivating it works fine for me also.. 🙂

Turning off notes from iCloud and switching on, resolves the issue.

The suggested work around does not work for me. When I open the app all I get is a blank screen in the app for about 30 seconds then it shuts down. Airplane mode does not fix the issue. My notes are backed up to iCloud. None of the notes are showing up on my iMac which is synced to the same Apple ID. I have restarted my phone deleted the Notes app and reinstalled it to no avail

I had same problem on Iphone 6 and IPad Pro. I did a hard reboot on both units and both units worked well after that.

This solution worked for me too, but I would hope Apple plans on fixing this issue with a followup update.

I also had this problem. It started shortly after I upgraded to IOS 10.0.2 (iPhone 6).

The first time, rebooting my phone seemed to resolve it. The second time, rebooting didn't help. I closed all the open apps and Notes still crashed. I followed the suggestion to disable and then re-enable iCloud Notes, and so far it seems to have resolved.

I also had the same issue since update, its fixed now.

I had the same problem however I was far too long to delete all my current data from my device notes (that I update daily) and all the outdated data on my iCloud (which was about a month old). I didn't want to copy them all manually so I did the opposite. I turned airplane mode on phone, deleted all my notes from my iCloud account from my computer and then turned airplane mode off and then they synced with iCloud correctly without losing data. Thought I'd put this out there as an alternative to people who couldn't afford to delete their device notes first.

Your solution worked. For some one like me with an absolutly horrible memory, the notes app has been invaluable at both work and home and it hasnt worked since i download ios10. Thank you. Seriously, thank you thank you thank you.
