Q: AirPlay not list bluetooth headphone after connecting

Hi all,

I wanted to see if it is only me or other people see this. I am using iPhone 5 which I recently upgraded to iOS10. As part of my daily usage, I connect bluetooth headphones (4.0), MPOW Swift is the brand, to listen to music or watch YouTube. With iOS 9.x I never had a problem with the headphones recognized and used immediately by all apps through AirPlay. With iOS 10, that appears not true. They are connecting as I see the icon in the status bar of the phone and in Bluetooth section of settings says it is connected but when I go to Music app and click AirPlay they are not listed. I found to fix the issue, I have to Forget Device of the headphones then repair and immediately they are listed again in AirPlay and sound is coming from the app through the headphones. Here is the kicker though, if I turn headphones off (disconnecting them from device) then reconnect, I am back to the same problem where they are not listed in AirPlay and I have to pair again the devices.

Anyone else seeing this issue? Sadly I do not have another bluetooth headphone to test this.

Thanks!
Jeff

    Hi All,

Just an added note to my original case. I have discovered that my MPOW Switft headphones are working correctly again. :-) The only thing I can think of that got them working correctly again was when I unpaired them form my iphone, then paired them to my computer (by the way, appears they are not supported with Windows 10 ;-) ) then pair them pack to the phone, they began working again. So after you unpair the headphones with the phone, try to pair with a different device with bluetooth then pair them back. Let me know if that worked for you as well.

    Jeff
