iOS 10 mail...no delete all

Where has this option gone in iOS 10 Mail? You can no longer delete all in sent mail..

Real pain having to delete each on in turn.

is there a way round this anyone please?

Months and a bunch of updates have gone by and still no fix for this from Apple?!

WTH!!!!

I can't believe users are still dealing with this!

I am sure uffin' glad that I STILL have not upgraded to iOS 10 more than evuur!!!

I'll keep repeating this for users who want to get away from this nonsense and Apple's non-compliance to just silently fix this issue in upcoming iOS 10 updates.

Life is just to short to have to deal with workarounds for Apple's ineptitude concerning many of the various, seemingly, missed bugs or problems most used iOS commands and features.

Instead of waiting out Apple and the iOS software team to straighten out all of the issues with the iOS 10 Mail app,

If want to bring back all of the previous goodness about iOS Mail and get a few more bells and whistles, in the process.

If you are a Google Mail, Yahoo Mail or Microsoft Hotmail user, here is a almost exact replacement for iOS Mail that adds back all of the missing functionlities in iOS 10 Mail app and adds even more.

The most recent update adds a few more email services, so read the update details!

One user has successfully gotten this to work with their AOL account, if anyone is still using AOL.

Look at this nearly exact email app replacement for iOS Mail.

I really like this email app a WHOLE LOT better than the stock Apple iOS Mail App while still looking very much like the standard iOS Mail App.

This is a real beautiful email app to use and, if you are a large iPad Pro user, then this email app's UI really shines!

This app only works with listed compatible services with IMAP accounts only!

One of the real nice things about this app as it has a setting to allow the Safari web browser to open right up inside of this mail app.

Which is super convenient and quick!

To anyone, ANYONE who can use this iOS Mail app replacement.

You're Welcome and Good Luck!

I just got the 7 and this problem was aggravating me to no end. I wanted to swipe a email and delete right away, but it was never an option. I was playing around and found a solution. (This is on a Gmail account, which is my primary account.)

Settings - Mail - Accounts - Gmail - Account (email address) - Advanced - "Move discarded messages into:" - select "Deleted Mailbox" - Done

I can now swipe to the left and trash an email. To delete several emails, select the emails and you'll see the trash can in the corner.

I'm sure someone else has come up with this already, but hopefully it helps somebody out there.

Cheers,

Bill

This is nothing new.

This ridiculous method had already been discovered long ago.

Six steps where it only used to two or three steps.

I was trying to figure out why Apple would eliminate this feature. I have an email account specifically for ads- I get hundreds of emails per month. I also have an email account for genealogy groups and get hundreds of emails per month. I don't think this feature was deleted by accident- it's been missing for quite awhile now with plenty of opportunity to bring it back. I speculate that for most people who can't follow the convoluted steps to delete all email (which work great by the way unless you try to apply the steps to a filter like delete all email before December 1, 2016), I speculate this is one way to ensure that most people run out of memory. And what do people do when they run out of memory but can't delete? They upgrade their phones to obtain more memory.

Your rationale on why Apple removed the delete all in iOS 10 Mail is arguable and doubtful, at best.

Apple just admitted, (by finally discontinuing) all 16 GB storage devices because those storage level devices really only had an effective storage space of 8-10 GBs

By making 32 GB storage model mobile devices as the new base model, now, iDevices have a more effective storage space of 24-26 GBs.

About 3 times the amount of a typical 16 GBs storage device.

Plus, like it or not, you can still go and delete unwanted emails one at time over a period of time to regain storage space.

Not all users are going to just let their iDevice fill up with junk emails.

iOS 10 mail...no delete all
