What's so difficult. Have you even tried, or do you just enjoy complaining.
Anyone having trouble, feel free to post your steps. I will be happy to assist you.

Oct 16, 2016 8:23 PM in response to johnbdhby MichelPM,Well, it's not working for everyone and others seem to be having issues with following these instructions, so NOT so simple.
And you quickly outlined that it now takes five steps when two used to do take care of this action/function.
Send feedback to Apple, as this is just another extra time consuming workaround that shouldn't be.

Oct 17, 2016 3:22 AM in response to johnbdhby rwaddi,Thanks for the very clear instructions. This worked, possibly because I hadn't noticed that Trash was on the left rather than above. That is, it worked on one account (imap) but not the other (pop3). I think this is mentioned elsewhere in this correspondence.

Oct 17, 2016 4:40 AM in response to johnbdhby rwaddi,Correction. I was wrong about the pop account. The instructions have now worked worked on both my accounts.

Oct 17, 2016 5:12 AM in response to David Bedfordby Herbiebel,Workaround to Delete ALL eMail in iOS 10
Another workaround allows deleting all emails in iOS 10 as well, but it should be stressed this is indeed a workaround and it is nonspecific in that literally every single email will be deleted from the iPhone or iPad in the process.
Do not attempt this without a backup or unless you are absolutely certain you never want those emails again, every single email will be deleted from the device whether it is read or unread:
- Open the inbox and then tap on “Edit”
- Tap on any message on screen so the checkbox appears next to it
- Now press and hold the “Move” button with one finger, and while holding the “Move” button, uncheck the message you previously checked
- Now release the “Move” button
- You’ll now be at the Inbox selection screen, at the top of the screen will show how many emails are selected, choose the “Trash” icon to move them all to trash and permanently delete them

Oct 17, 2016 4:37 PM in response to David Bedfordby ogoflash,This is the dumbest thing. Hopefully they fix this on the next update. I have over 10,000 emails taking up over 7 gigs.

Oct 17, 2016 4:44 PM in response to ogoflashby MichelPM,You might want to think about trying out a solid replacement for iOS 10 Mail app.

Oct 17, 2016 10:41 PM in response to David Bedfordby MattClum,o delete ALL inbox emails just select the first one to edit, press and HOLD the move button, AT THE SAME TIME as holding this, deselect first email and then then after a second or two, release hold and you then tap TRASH. ALL emails will then go into your trash, ready for you to delete All when you wish.

Oct 19, 2016 12:24 PM in response to orlandofromrichterswilby MichelPM,You are not addressing Apple here.
We are all users like you.
Life is too short for this kind of stupid baloney and arbitrary feature oversights and ommissions, in iOS, by Apple.
If you are a Google Mail, Yahoo Mail or Microsoft Hotmail user, do yourself a favor and check out my link to a much better iOS Mail alternative.
If you can use it, it is a much better version of the iOS Mail app that brings all of that functionality back and more.
For Those Frustrated with iOS Mail App on iOS 10.
If you can't use this because you don't use any of these email services, then send your feedback/concerns/complaints to Apple here.

Apple doesn't respond to the feedback, but they DO read all feedback coming in from these product feedback links from users.
Good Luck!

Oct 20, 2016 2:30 AM in response to MichelPMby rwaddi,Does it do what I can do on my ancient Blackberry mobile, which has a function called Delete Prior? I can delete all emails prior to the date I choose, possibly the most useful function on the phone. Apple hasn't got there yet.
