Q: iTunes wants to re-upload local music library to iCloud after signing out and in again

Like other users I experienced problems using apple music yesterday (“Unable to connect to iCloud Music Library“) but it started working again after a while.

Little after that I tried to add an album from apple music to my music library which for whatever reason didn't work. Tried again and again without success. I thought it may be a good idea signing out of iTunes (12.5.1) and then back in again. I was't aware this means my whole library gets scanned again. Well.. Several hours later the process was done and here comes another problem I did't expect when signing out/in again: iTunes now wants to re-upload thousands of songs from my library to iCloud again… huh..?

Is this normal behavior?

I stopped the upload process for now but I guess there's no way to bypass this in the long run isn´t it? Even though this is clearly not the biggest problem one could have with apple music, if someone could prove me wrong - let me know
