Tracks with a star - what does it mean?

I Know the star ratings have been removed, but a couple of random songs per album have a star next to them now that I've updated to iOS 10.0.1. Anyone know what they mean and how to

That's annoying. I understand how it would be helpful in the iTunes Store and the Apple Music section, but it's unnecessary in the music library of music you've already added or purchased.
