Q: copy book from iPhoto to Photo?

I have a completed book in iPhoto 7.1.5 (on my iMac OS X 10.6.8). Cannot print as not supported anymore. I have new MacBook Pro Retina El Capitan 10.11.6.

Can I transfer book?

Any way of getting book printed without starting new one again?

Thanks

If it were possible the way to do it is to copy the Library containing the book to the new machine and open it with Photos. However, as the book making system is changed there is no way do move the book as you want to do. Output a pdf from the old iPhoto and use a 3rd party printing service is the way to get your book printed.

Presto Photo can print PDF files of books created in IPhoto, one possible printing service.

You could also use the Preview application on your new Mac to to split the pages from your iPhoto book into separate JPEGs files, one for each book page. Then add these jpegs as full size photos to a new, empty Photo book in Photos for Mac and have it printed by Apple.

for the best quality recreate the book in Photos for Mac, starting from  the migrated lPhoto Library.
