mac mini 4.1 will it run the latest OS?

Hi I have a build in Dec 2010 MM 4.1 (with 2 hard disks, originally it came with OS server software) and it is running 10.6 because I have legacy software that does not run under anything higher. I have 4GB of memory in it.

Now I soon will solve the software issue and am wondering if it runs anything higher than 10.6?

Any experience?
How high an OS will it run?
How much disk space will the OS need?
Speed OK?
Will the memory be enough?

If the software will not run on anything higher than 10.6, either

update the software to a version that will run on newer operating systems

or stay stuck on 10.6.

Your Mac Mini can run Sierra. The specified memory requirement is 2GB, so 4GB should be OK, though more is always better.
