how to remove predictive text bar?

Hi All,

I have just updated to iOS10 and when texting etc. the predictive text bar is above the keyboard. On previous iOS versions you could easily hide this by swiping down, however this ability has now been removed. Am I stuck with this annoying bar forever or is there a more in depth way to remove this? 😕
