Sep 14, 2016 5:30 PM in response to LiseyAppleby chris_g1,Hello LiseyApple,
Thanks for your post. It looks like the audio doesn’t play through your Bluetooth to AUX adaptor and plays through your iPhone instead. I know that when in a car, you want to take advantage of the car speakers. I’ll be happy to help you manually change the audio output on your iPhone.
1. Swipe up to open the control center
2. Swipe over to the Apple Music card
3. At the bottom there is the new AirPlay icon, tap that and choose your output.
Take care!

Sep 14, 2016 5:34 PM in response to LiseyAppleby LiseyApple, thanks Chris, unfortunately there is no option there other than 'iphone'.
I will again try to 'forget the device' and relink it and see if that helps today - it didn't help yesterday!

Sep 15, 2016 1:39 PM in response to chris_g1by Aggienader,I am having this issue as well, except with my Bluetooth headphones as well as with my car audio. This has probably been the most frustrating thing about the iOS10 update is that it's messed all of this up for me. I can rarely get it to work. I can never get it to work when I really want it to. It seems like a completely random thing.
there is no option other than iPhone for "airplay" so your suggestion was not helpful.

Sep 16, 2016 4:24 PM in response to LiseyAppleby HY2,Me, too. I have to pair Bluetooth headphones every time I turn them on to get music or other audio except Siri and phone calls. Controls work fine. I can also see the headphones in the AirPlay icon if I look really quickly when Siri closes. Then the icon goes away. 3 out of 4 sets of earphone are doing this. I have one set that connect properly. Not sure why they work.
I opened a case with Apple. The headphones work fine on the previous OS on my touch also.
