Q: Poor wifi after upgrading to iOS10

My iPhone 6+ 's wifi is unusable under ios 10.

Downloaded and installed ios10 overnight.

Phone rebooted.

ANything dependent on internet is sluggish or fails "no network/internet"

Rebooted the phone and everything network related.

NO dice.  0.0-1.0 MBps with horrible latency.

Turn off wifi, LTE kicks in, stuff works as normal on rural lte with two bars.

WIfi on ... back to the suck.

iPad air on ios9 maxes out the connection in the mean time.

Spouse has no issues on her iphone or ipad. Also ios 9.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10

First you need to check your Wi-Fi Router: check if other devices can be connected. This will let you know whether there is a problem with your Wi-Fi router. You can restart your router and try to connect to WiFi again.

Make sure Wi-Fi on And You can See Your Network

Go to Settings on your iPhone > Wi-Fi, and check if it is on. And if there is a blue checkmark beside a network name means your iPhone or iPad has been connected to this network.

Restart Your iPhone/iPad, Router, Cable/DSL mode

If that doesn't help,  reset Your Network

On your iPhone iPad, got to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. This will reset Wi-Fi networks and passwords, cellular settings, and VPN and APN settings that you have used before.

    These steps should help.

I have noticed that since the update my 6 plus is having to be rebooted constantly to connect to cellular (voice & data). So i'm right in the "suck" with you.

Note I had rebooted all network equipment already. I was the sole user and only one device was active.

After several hours with wifi off andon lte, I force rebooted the phone once again, removed and re-added the home network, fired up speedtest and it maxed out the connection.

    Absolutely puzzling.
