Q: Photo albums not syncing on iOS 10

Every time I try to sync my regular photo albums to my iPhone with the newly updated iOS 10, the photos sync but aren't showing in albums.

They show in the photos tab under different dates, but not in the albums section in the appropriate album titles the they are synced with.

Ive never had this problem until updating to iOS 10 today.

Please help! Having these photos sorted into albums is a necessity for me!

iPhone 6, iOS 8.3, null

I had this problem did two things don't know which one fixed it.  On the iPhone - Settings - General - Reset Network Settings.  Reconnected to my Wi-Fi. Went to photos on the iPhone and deleted one picture. After that I was able to sync with iPhone from my Mac. Pic transfer/sync was a success.

This didn't work for me, unfortunately. I'm syncing my iPhone with a Windows 10 computer and have tried all the suggestions in this stream. Under "Albums," I still just get the new (and to me "silly") albums iOS 10 has created, like Selfies, Places, and People, and then misfiled a few photos into each. All the photos are there chronologically which is another useless organization to me. Very frustrating.

So any hints on how to re-establish the Albums I have set up on the Windows computer as folders within the selected folder to synchronize? I didn't quite get the "create another sub-folder" recommendation, or at least I didn't make it work the way I did it.

    Thanks.

It happened again.  Make sure data cable is disconnected before you reset network settings on the iPhone.  Then I deleted one picture before I connected cable to my Mac mini and it started to sync again.  Now I'm updating iTunes and Safari hoping there's other settings will update to communicate to iOS on my iPhone 5.

Thank you for typing this up! The other comments confused me, but this made sense and worked!

I have the same issue - Hello, Apple? - after upgrading to 10.0.1: my photos sync with my iPhone 6 (both phone and Mac software are the latest versions), but the latest albums I have created do not. I'm a little perplexed by the "create bogus albums" workaround, but I'll try it. I am fairly certain this same situation occurred after the last major upgrade to iOS - which caused me to sync from my iPhoto library (worked fine, haven't tried it this time) rather than from Photos

I was unable to have the latest album I'd added to Photos sync with my iPhone 6 after 10.0.1 install. All the other albums did sync, and the photos from that most recent album all were found under "photos" on my iPhone. So I tried the suggestion above: I created a new album in Photos, loaded in all the photos from the "non-sync-able" album, gave it a different title, and then ran the sync process. The duplicate album did not sync, but the original did! Is this crazy or what?
