Q: IOS 10 and contact custom ringtones

Sep 17, 2016 11:02 PMby longtom99,I reported it in PB3, then they asked me if it is ok in PB6 -> NOK, asked again in PB 7 -> NOK.
in GM -> NOK, i reported again to Apple Support and Tim to fix the issue till Public Release -> NOK.
Let's hope for next patch.
I am also wondering why such huge bug can happen as Public Betas are here for reporting issues that "WE" find.

I plugged my iPhone and launch iTunes. Clicked on my device in the top menu, and under where it says 'On My Device' clicked 'Tones'.
Then checked box next to 'Sync Tones' was selected. And I was asked if I agree to removing and replacing your ringtones. Agree, and the sync process will start.
It didn't work.

Sep 20, 2016 12:21 AMby gadgetto,Same problem here (3 devices in our office)! Custom ringtone for a contact doesn't play. Instead the system wide ringtone is played.
Device reset didn't help.

Sep 20, 2016 12:42 AMby SerialKami,I also have this same issue. Every contact that I have set custom ringtone no longer plays.
The ringtones are working when trying to listen them, but everytime contact calls phone just plays the default ringtone instead.
Have tried restarting the phone, changing ringtones to different ones, etc. but nothing has helped so far.

After I update it,my special person call me which i've used to set it with a spesific contact ringtone.
And it won't work anymore, in fact i've check her contact on my contact list, the set is already on with that spesific ringtone which I chose for her. I feel strange and tell myself How come?
