Bluetooth Connection Issues ios 10

Ever since upgrading to ios 10. My bluetooth connection in my car (2016 Hyundai Sonata) keeps connected and disconnecting every few minutes. This never happened pre-upgrade. Is anyone else experience this?

I have a similar issue with stuttering/skipping with bluetooth music. The problem was my magnetic phone holder. If I don't use that magnetic phone holder it works fine, no skipping.

Here is a possible solution with the magnetic mount Re: iPhone 7 Plus Bluetooth Issues

iPhone6s with 10.2 using Uconnect - same issues. Phone call randomly drops, especially when i'm using A2DP/AVRCP and HFS commands at the same time. (streaming music and then using siri kills it just about every time, all hands free)

Bluetooth integration is terrible on 10.2, was bad on 10.1, was flawless on 9 and before. Really disappointed with Apple.

I am using the most up to date FW from Chrysler, but bottom line it shouldn't be up to the car companies to fix Apple's crappy BT QA/QC process.

ONGOING ISSUES with BlueTooth taking over the audio systems in multiple cars.

Same issue here! Very annoying Apple. Jaguar 2013, Jeep 2014, BMW 2015...all cars you get in and as soon as you start the car (phone previously paired) the system on the car shows there is an active call. I did not initiate any call, yet as soon as the cars start, the phone (iPhone 6 running 10.2) takes over and the timer is counting up on the cars displays as if there is an active call. The only way to hear music or truly initiate a call that I want is to go into the iPhone settings and turn of bluetooth and then turn back on....EACH AND EVERY TIME. You can try to end the call using the car's buttons but the phone will not respond.
Apple, please tell me there is a fix in the works as from the blogs I have read on the issue, there have been numerous complaints going back to mid 2016 and everyone seems to get a different answer or Apple points the finger at the car manufacturer....yet so many car makes are represented, let's be honest....it is the iOS. Please update it!....AGAIN...

And for the record, a soft reset, a clearing of network settings, a restore to factory and then reset and reinstall programs, turning bluetooth of and then repairing after forgetting he network....none of these fixed the problem.

I have a similar problem with Range Rover Evoque and Mini (BMW). No problem with Mini until recently (not sure if it was an iOS update or tge arrival of the Range Rover, but now I cannot use radio, USB music, Bluetooth etc without switching iphone to airplane mode. If I want to actually make a call, it has to be done manually. The only solution has been to isolate the phone with airplane mode (or lleave it at home). Why do Apple have to keep fiddling?

Hi to all, I am struggling with BT on iPhone 6S as well. After iOS 10 update I am not able to use my Plantronics M55 earpiece/Car BT system for receiving calls anymore.

BT earpiece/Car BT system connects without problem, but when someone calls me and I want to pick up call on BT device, phone freezes, call is answered, BT device disconnects/connects and the call is hung up. It happens in 90% of all calls using BT handsfree device. If it happens only on this Plantronics M55 I would suggest it is the problem of this headset, but same thing happens also in my car BT system (Skoda).

What have I done? I went to an Apple service provider, they replaced my whole iPhone 6S for the new one (its in warranty), but problem persists even on new device! So I have tried to completely install new vesion of iOS 10.2. without recovering my iCloud backup, in other words I have set up my iPhone from scratch and problem is still in there.

When I use old iPhone 5S, there is no problem.

There is only one difference regarding the BT between 5S and 6S - 5S uses older 4.0 version of BT instead of 4.2 version on 6S.

Dont know what other things to try 😟

Same problem with my iPhone 7 IOS 10.2 and my 2009 Porsche 911....today used my wife's iPhone 4S which has IOS 9.3.5....can not update any higher and worked fantastically....No Bluetooth problems on any other devices, Jawbone speakers or keyboards or most importantly on my 2016 BMW X5M...no Bluetooth complicates driving as having to hold phone is now a big ticket thanks to new 2017 CA law prohibiting effectively even touching the phone while driving.

The same problem here:

iPhone 6s, iOS10.2, Audi A6 2016 (MMI) - bluetooth (telephony) disconnecting, calls "freezing" - endless bluetooth problems since iOS10.x.

No problems in the same car with: iPhone 5s (iOS10.x) 2 weeks smoothly without any problem, iPhone 6 (iOS10.x) 5 weeks smoothly without any problem - so this is definitely not a car (Audi) audio/bluetooth issue.

I've got a new (replacement) iPhone 6s with preinstalled iOS 10 - the same problem immediately again..

The bluetooth in iOS10.2 with iPhone 6s can be literally dangerous - trying to connect again, restarting the connection while driving...

Well done apple, thanks a lot, the future is wireless.

Hope, apple comes with an app soon, showing (or better saying) something like "sorry, your bluetooth is going to be disconnected in 2 seconds..."

Since upgrading to the IOS 10.2 whenever I get a phone call or hang up its disconnects the bluetooth in my BMW, no phone, no music. OR it freezes when I get a phone call I press accept and it does not connect, then its drops the bluetooth and the person is on the actual iphone and when I pick the phone up and try to change it from the car to speaker on the phone it connects back to bluetooth, by this time the person has hung up. This was not well thought out.

This is Apple's way of blowing you off. Apple is the third brand of phone I have connected by Bluetooth, and is the only one with problems. I can dial out and talk, and they can't dial in. When I answer they can't hear me, although it sounds like it is connected. Apple does not care. They also told me it was a problem with my car. I would dump Apple but I have too many customers that use it and I FaceTime real estate tours. If I mention Snapchat or Skype they can't cope. These are older folks. Technically challenged. I'm hoping the next Apple upgrade might cure it.
