Q: unknown iCloud account has taken possession of my account.
An iCloud account on my wife's iPad now parents my iCloud account.
My wife has no recollection of this accout and does not know who could have created it and believes it was "a hack"
The account has my iCloud account, as a result I can not configure any family accounts from my account without "an invitation" from this account. my phone rings on other family members phones, I get their messages, etc.
The iPad while tied to the account does not show the email or let me configure the email for that account. I can not reset security questions because the answers are not know nor will a reset link every be sent to a system that can receive email to that account. the iCloud account can not be accessed from the device or through iCloud.
Apple support was contacted, the first time after a 90+ minute call I and a "3 minute hold" that extended past 20 minutes (I was told the computer froze) I found no ticket was ever logged, a second call where I was with a sr. rep who could be better trained by apple to speak with customers and I hope that opportunity is presented to the CSR and a 3rd call where I provided a serial #, a proof of purchase, a cost for this devcice, an order number from Amazon.com and a seller name, but Apple has denied this information on the grounds it does not meet one or more of the criteria provided, they did not specify.
What are my options with an iPad 2 Air less than a year old that is tied to this account and prevents my other devices from functioning where Apple is not assisting on the grounds they claim.
thank you,
JimmyCMPIT
