iOS 10 dock bar tranparency wrong?

So I had no problems downloading and installing iOS 10 right after it was available. Was one of the fastest and easiest to date for me. My problem is really minor but I still feel like there's something going on here t hat's not quite right. I noticed after I got installed that my bottom row "dock" bar had a much more noticeable white background rather than a more transparent one. I thought maybe this one just how it was supposed to be for iOS 10 but I then searched for other people's screen shots and even installed it on my old iPhone 5 which looks correct and like it did in iOS 9. I also notice that when I click an icon that has a folder of other apps my background is really really dark where before it use to just blur the wallpaper and dim it slightly. Again works like I think it should on the old iPhone 5. May just wait for the next small update and maybe it gets fixed or is there a way to reinstall iOS 10 that is not a pain where I'd have to reset everything?

I've restarted, changed wallpapers, and clicked around on any setting I thought might have something to do with this but no luck.

Thanks,

Dave
