Q: Can Pages sort or Numbers create E-Pub?

I am a singer who has been compiling a master list of songs for many years.  As my compilation gets larger it is getting increasingly harder to keep organized.

Right now I have lyrics in multiple pages documents for the different gig's I do and a numbers document listing every song with composer/genre/tempo/key.  One new song requires inputing information into at least two different documents.

Is it possible to combine this information into one program or document?

With hundreds of songs, it would be great if I could add the new lyrics at the end of the document, indicate the title and have the song automatically slip into alphabetical order with it's title in the table of contents.

I tried using tables for lyrics & titles but the text in a table did not appear in the table of contents.

If I could use Numbers to write the document, I could sort it for various genres but you can't publish in e-books.  Lyrics are updated during the week then opened in Ibook the day of the gig.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

You can sort Tables but Pages is not a Database. Helps if you tell us what versions you are talking about.

Best you use a database. A spreadsheet in Numbers is not ideal but more accessible for those who are uncomfortable with databases.

    Menu > File > Export > ePub
