Audio not playing in keynote on iPad

Hi,

I am taking an online class with powerpoint presentations that I download from the professors website to my KeyNote. The audio that she has embedded the slides will not play. I did not create the presentation, I only have access to view it. I see most people on here with similar problem are the ones creating the presentations themselves. I have pressed the audio the paintbrush, selecting "start on tap". Audio still does not work. I have gone into settings but do not see anything that might help unless I'm missing it. I do not have a Mac, just the iPad so I cannot transfer and adjust it on the Mac. Any suggestions?

Many sound files originating from a windows machine are not Mac compatible e.g. windows media audio files (wma) will not play on iPad.

The following sound files are iPad compatible:

  • AAC
  • HE-AAC (bitrates from 8 to 320 Kbps)
  • Protected AAC (DRM copy protection used on the iTunes Store)
  • ALAC (Apple Lossless)
  • MP3 (bitrates 8 to 320 Kbps)
  • MP3 VBR (Variable Bitrate)
  • AA (Audible formats 2, 3, 4) / Audible Enhanced Audio / AAX / AAX+
  • WAV
  • AIFF (Audio Interchange File Format)
