Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Community. I know how important it is to keep your devices working as expected and I'd like to help you with the anomalies you are seeing on your iPad.
Before we go too far, it's always a good idea to have a backup of your device just incase we need it later. If you aren't sure who to make a backup this article will talk you through that process: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Once you have a fresh backup there are a few steps we can take to isolate and resolve the issue. The First would be to simply restart the iPad if you have not already. If the behavior persists we would then want to try resetting all the settings. What this effectively does is reset some of your settings to factory default. This does not remove any data like apps, photos or contacts, but It removes all of your preferences for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, Notifications, General, Sounds, Touch ID, Brightness & Wallpaper and Privacy, so you may have to set those things back up after this reset.
To do this please go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.
If the behavior persists after that I would recommend restoring your iPad to factory settings using iTunes and the article below:
Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings
This will remove all of your personal data and install the latest version of iOS. If the screen anomalies are resolved you can restore your data from you backup using this article:
Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup
If the behavior persists at that point then there may be a hardware issue and the iPad may require service. If it gets to that point you can use this link to find you nearest Apple retail store, or Authorized Service Provider: Find Locations
If you run into any trouble, please reach out again, the whole community is here to help,
Best regards
